The Art Room provides a space for youths to explore their creativity, express themselves and often provides a kind of catharsis. For many of our kids the Art Room becomes a place where they can tell their story or a place where they can feel safe to be themselves.

The kids' creative energy is funneled into painting, drawing, ceramics, sewing, sculptures and mixed media projects. The art therapists who work in the Art Room ensure that the space is respected, and foster an atmosphere of trust and safety.

Works from the Art Room are displayed throughout Chez Pops and standout works are also featured at Les journées de la culture, exhibits at various museums and cafés, and are published in "La Propagande" our in-house arts and literature journal.
