Dans la rue does everything it can to provide the basics to street kids in difficulty before we can work on short, mid or long term solutions. Every year, we hand out more than 70,000 cans of food, serve 25,000 hot meals and give out thousands of pairs of socks and underwear as well as t-shirts, sweaters, boots, shoes, coats, soap, shampoo and toothbrushes.

Dans la rue is pleased to share that the our need for canned food items has been answered due to an enormous initiative by John Rennie High School Alternative classes. They collected more than 16,000 lbs of food for Dans la rue in their attempt to break the Guinness Book of Records. Though they didn't reach that goal their efforts will provide enough canned goods for the next two years. Thank you John Rennie students.

We could still use your help by organizing a collection of the following items: Meal in a can (Chunky Soup, Cordon Bleu, Chef Boyardee) and Tim Horton's gift cards ($5 per card maximum).
