The Van By the end of its first year of operation in 1988, the Van had been visited 3,500 times. By 2005, this number had climbed to 70,000. Every year, 140,000 hot dogs are served, and nearly 10,800 bags of dry goods, along with clothing and personal care products are handed out. The Van's success lies in the hands of its tireless team of volunteers, who cheerfully welcome and listen to youths with unconditional acceptance. The "Roulotte" is a special place where first contacts are made and where trust slowly develops. The Van travels through the streets of Montréal five nights a week, from 8 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Number of visits to the Van last year: 70,000.
