The Day Center The Chez Pops Day Centre opened its doors in the fall of 1997 and today is visited nearly 40,000 times a year. Chez Pops is open Monday to Friday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Chez Pops offers services adapted to the specific needs of street kids. There are a series of constructive activities and programs designed to help them make concrete, positive steps towards realizing their inner potential. Before Chez Pops, nothing of this kind was available for street kids. Even today, Chez Pops remains a one-of-a-kind resource. The specific programs and services available through the Day Centre are further described in the following section. A total of 80 volunteers worked on the Van last year.
