After 17 years, many of you know Father Emmett Johns (Pops) and know Dans la rue quite well. You know that every night our Van goes out to feed hungry street kids. You've probably also heard about The Bunker, our overnight emergency shelter. Maybe you even know about Chez Pops, our day centre.

As you make your way through the Dans la rue Web site, you will learn more about the programs and services, offered by our dedicated team of professionals and volunteers, which help our kids rediscover their potential. These programs give street kids the tools they need to build a better future for themselves. Did you know that we run a high school within our day centre? Did you know we offer courses on employment skills? Did you know we even provide workplace re-integration programs and internships to help kids get back on their feet?

Every day, we work to improve the chances that our kids will get off the streets-and stay off. We're still here to feed and comfort and counsel, but more and more of our resources are being used to provide better opportunities for our kids to lead happy and productive lives.

Take all the time you need to discover the many aspects of our work. This will help you understand the importance of helping them get back on their feet again. Because these kids are our future, too. Help us make theirs brighter.
